Purpose driven, passionate, destined, visionary…These are just a few words that describe the life and ministry of  Elzie D. Flenard III. Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Southern Illinois, Elzie found a love with music early in life. Elzie wrote his first song at the age of five after being inspired while playing with his toys in his mother’s bathtub. The son of a musician, and the grandson of a gospel choir singer, he has music in his blood. He is multi-talented creative type being a singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. Elzie has been writing and performing music for most of his life and is accomplished in the fact that he has remained focused on using the gifts and talents that God has given him to encourage, inspire, motivate and challenge people in the ways of God.

Elzie is the owner/founder of Flenard Music Company (formerly Vision Company) Est. 2005. Flenard Music Company was established in order to further as well as to promote creative expression free from the confines of the “major label” attitude. To date, he has released one full length album (Fallible Perfection), and an EP - "Fallen'" featuring singles (Hosanna, Reason, Worthy, Fallin'). Elzie has also two features on the popular Milwaukee group The Groundwork’s “Foundation” Album.


Not having grown up in church Elzie struggled early on in life trying to deal with coming from a single parent home and living in one the poorest counties in the state. This caused him to be extremely apathetic and cold. He also struggled with his self identity. As God would have it, in his early twenties Elzie gave his life to Christ and through that relationship was able to not only open up and love others as Christ loved him, but he was now able to identify himself in Christ and since has vowed to help others experience that same relationship.

Elzie’s experience includes performances (ministry opportunities) at Club G (a gospel lighthouse in St. Louis, MO), Summer fest grounds – African festival in Milwaukee, WI, the Upper Room Christian Cafe in Cairo, IL, St. John Praise and Worship Center (SJPWC) in Pulaski, IL, dates in Cleveland, OH, Nashville, TN, Waupaca, WI, Waukesha, WI and other miscellaneous events in Chicago, IL, Southern Illinois and the East Coast.
