ABOUT Me

I am amazed at the power of connection and how impactful building authentic relationships can be.

I was raised in a small town (Mounds) in Southern Illinois that had one grocery store +  one gas station (technically ... two ... kind of) ... with a total population of a whopping 636 people.  I don't say this as a negative thing. I love  my hometown and I'm proud to be a BOBCAT (IYKYK)! I say it to make it known that no matter where you come from, you can make it!

I have had the opportunity to have conversations and learn from the brightest minds in the world. 

I want to pay that wisdom forward. My mission is to give the gift of connection to as many people as possible and use conversation and dialogue to bring change.

My why is to empower people by helping uncover, cultivate and broadcast their voice to those they were sent to serve.

I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur as a teenager. I would create my own board games and basketball leagues in my bedroom. I would dream of flying cars and spend hours solving problems with business ideas.

I've had just about every job out there - I was a janitor for a short time, I've worked fast food, I worked in an ammunition factory (wasn't a bad gig actually), I've cleaned the bottom of barges --- I even worked in a CD manufacturing company! I've worked in corporate as an electronics technician, electrical engineer and operations manager.

These experiences shaped me. They helped me become the business leader and entrepreneur I am today.

I get to live my dream of being an entrepreneur. I get to chart my own path and impact others through my work at Podcast Town ... I'm truly Livin' the Dream!

the creative

Whether it's speaking, podcasting, or singing. Everything that I'm passionate about involves two things.....me talking.... and a microphone. 

If you can believe it, I used to be a rapper .. lol! Mic check 1 - 2.

I have written, produced and released around 20 songs and have performed around the mid-west and east coast when I was an active "music artist". I'm dating myself but I remember recording my first song on a Karaoke machine that I saved up for using my summer job earnings. I would record the drum track on one tape, switch the tape to the other deck while playing along and recording to the new tape....

My passion for audio grew to include podcasting because of the authentic nature of the medium. I love meeting cool people and learning about their story.

THE family man

I was 20 years old when I married my wife Victoria (she was 19). Now, I'm not sure how I convinced her to say "I do" but she did and 22 years,  a few ups and downs, two kiddos later...... here we are.

I am blessed to have a beautiful family that supports me and keeps me grounded. I get to watch little humans become big humans and find their way in the world. I get to be a part of their journey.

My prayer is that I am a good husband, father, brother and son and that when it's all said and done, people know that I loved God, loved my family, lived my purpose and completed my assignment.
